Cancer Care/Betsy Tontini Nursing Scholarship
The Cancer Care/Betsy Tontini Nursing Scholarship was established in 2000 to honor the memory of a Wenatchee nurse who touched numerous lives with her warm and special caring. Betsy was instrumental in organizing Cancer Care of North Central Washington as well as founding Our House, a home for out of the area patients to stay while receiving treatment.
On May 17, 1997 Betsy died following an extended battle with cancer. This scholarship supports graduating seniors from Chelan or Douglas county high schools or a Wenatchee Valley College student, who plans to enroll in the nursing program at WVC.
